Water low n black in the cuts. Went to a new place for me, fished from 1-4. Nothing great but see a lot of potential and will go back when I have more time to explore. Just added a few more tops to my arsenal. All fish were tucked tight on the shade side of lay downs and like blk n chrt feather jigs way more than blk n chrt t-tail.

Sounds like a good day. Those short trips add up....... is usually the way i stock up for the winter months.

I actually fished those same hours up here on Sunday - you beat me by one fish but mine were all b.gills.

PS - Looks like you took on a little water in your dingy!

Good job Adam on what looks like a fine meal with leftovers for crappie tacos! :icon14: :icon14:

Looks like the old 12' flat bottom I fished out of back in the 70's. I was constantly putting JB Weld on the loose rivets & still had to keep a coffee can busy during a morning trip. Them were the day's! A simpler time no doubt!

My family had a 10' flat bottom alum. when i was in my teens. Fished a lot of small waters with that boat and even out on Lake Erie ONCE. We had a few leaky rivets and cracked reinforcing bar through the middle. Sunk it many time (on purpose) in our pond when we were swimming. It took a beating but still kept floating.

Hey now, don't make fun of that man's leaky dingy! I've owned a 12' V-Bottom for years. The only leak was at the plug. Those aluminum boats were made to last. Mine is a 1978 Montgomery Wards Seaking. Her name is Dolly!

You boys are funny! I'm pretty proud of my dingy, regardless of its leakiness. There's a certain sense of pride that comes with coming out of the woods with it on my shoulder and a stringer in hand....:)
Thisn is gon be a diff story

Might be tough to toss that one over your shoulder. My uncle has one and we've purposely tried to flip it on a hot day after a couple beers. Can't do it! Nice mess of fish. Looks like you've found a good hole.

Good report! I enjoy fishing the back waters that get over looked. With my kayaks I'm finding waters that I never thought about fishing that holds some nice fish. Congrats on the catch, good eating :)

I like that plastic boat, I missed buying one this year and am still kicking my but over it.
