I fished some dirty water yesterday. Pure mud on a local freestoner. I wanted to fish the river but it's still too deep to wade. So I found a creek that was wadable!

Found all the fish hugging the pocket water in the slicks created by the rocks

The creek was scoured clean on the bottom with debris lining the banks

However the fishing was the best I have ever experienced. I had a record day on the water. In almost 5 hours of fishing I caught over 75+ trout (yep OVER 75). The most fish I have ever caught in one outing ever!! All on one pattern. A black #2 Emerson Hough Bucktail Streamer.

My first 3 casts - 3 fish! I just stopped taking pics... since every cast I either had a trout on the line or landed. I had a NEPA slam the rest of the day... 'bows, brooks, and browns. All seemed to be healthy and they were all released to swim another day.

Very fine pics nice fish . I was staring at that trout when my eyes started playing tricks for a second the dots looked like they were moving around to spell S.O.S. . I guess that's what you call getting fish eyed .

Wow,75+ in one day !!!! I can't even count that high, usually lose count around 10. Maybe if I take off my shoes,?? That is a truly great day,the trout must have been really hungry. Congrats on your best day ever.

Those are some beautiful fish! That tiger takes the blue ribbon - amazing color pattern.

Glad to hear the fishing is picking up out your way after all that rain.
