I really like the craft fur ties that Pup does on the round head jigs and that got me thinking so I decided to give it a go. These are both the same except I did one with a normal amount of craft fur and the bottom I made it more full because I was able to use up the patch of fur instead of keeping just a small piece. Anyway these are my baby bass pattern done on a 1/8oz weedless ball jig with a size #1 hook painted dark watermelon with olive craft fur for the base color and black craft fur for the lateral line. Craft fur makes a great "do nothing jig", I call it that because it moves and undulates with very little movement so you can leave it sit in one spot like live bait and it will get bit. These also make a great little swimming jig in warm water when the fish are reluctant to bite normal offerings, you simply reel it slowly above the bottom as it makes a very lifelike minnow immitator.

It's flattering to read your post title. Thank you SJ. :)

Your jigs look tremendous. I really like the contrast between the green shades and the black. I'd expect great results from those. :t-up:

Thanks guys!! Pup, I wasn't kidding, you make some of the nicest craft fur jigs I ever saw and so I'm trying to mimic that style, sort of the same type of tie as the hairy worm. I even got some really nice 3" trout worms in traditional bass colors to work on small 1/16oz and 3/32oz jigs and it is all based off your creations. There is a ton of talent on this site and my tying has improved 100% since I joined this forum.
