if you pour this head without the wire keeper are there any problems like lead flash by the hook? tks Ole

You'd get some but it would twist off easy with needle nose. When I pour I have an old cookie sheet I put the melting pot on and when you pour any lead from not having the wire keeper in would land on the tray.

Thanks Fatman, I have my eye on a couple of molds that use the wire keeper that I may get. I have some bought-en jigs with a wire keeper that the wire is soft and bends easy. Do you know of such a wire supply or is this special made? The SS wire dose not bend very easily. Ole
