First of all I'm going to have to explain what I did as it didn't come out in the pics, I need a new and better camera and I need to learn to use it. What I did was add some items to some of my favorite jigs. The top jig is a 3/32oz walleye head painted copperhead, I took my basic bucktail with rabbit strip tail and I used copper black chenille from the base of the tail up to the collar. What this did was help flair the natural bucktail out but it also added some subtle flash, when I checked it out in the tank you could really see the flash and it was exactly what I hoped for. The bottom jig is a 3/32oz walleye head painted brown, it is a simple smallie spider as I've tied before with a brown bucktail tail and brown chenille for the body. What I did differently was I added brown hackle to the body like a wooly bugger but I just wanted something added to the body to make it look more alive and I added a similar color silicone to the collar but I left it longer than normal. When this jig fall through the water the silicone is swept back and undulating until it hits bottom where it fans out and actually makes contact with the bottom.
