Hey Ledhed I've read about the Baja aggro _ nasty. Thanks for the molds link Fatman gotta check it out, could be dangerous:).
Hey Salty do a few of the squid in deep rusty darkred-brown, both head and tail, it can be awesome. That's the main colour of a terrified squid. White's the colour of a dead squid. White's still the alround salty jig colour, I've more white than any other hue, in any style jig, and it got that yellowtail!, but rusty redbrown can turn on fish and make em wanna smash the jig.
One of the all time blue water trolling lures is a cedar plug. Incredibly simple, cigar shaped bit of wood, with a hole down the middle to thread line and tie on a hook, just varnished cedar or some other strong dark wood so its that amazing dark reddy-brown colour. Profile and colour of a fleeing scared squid when trolled fairly fast.
Also try a dark red wine (maybe that's the best way to describe the colour:rolleyes:) head and white tail. It's not just a compromise, it's the markings of a squid literally as it leaves this mortal coil.
Ha, got carried away. Don't get to talk jigs much in Oz.
