Day started at 6:30 with an hour drive to the river.  When we put in, the temperature gauge in my car read 39dF but the weather reports promised that the temps would be in the mid-60's.  Since my buddy & kayaks do not get along well, we took the Discovery 158.

Fishing was slow until we stopped at a small rocky beach to stretch our legs out and wade the area a bit.

As the water warmed, we picked up many 'fat averages'

Finally at 6pm I told my buddy "Hey, it's already six and we still have two more miles".  At that point we packed it up and paddled out, ran the shuttle, then drove home.  Sore today but it was worth it.

Nice job! Nothing like a paddling adventure with a friend, especially when there's fish like that being caught!

Spent most of today on the river. Started out on fire - fish moving out of their winter holes & cruz'n now. But around 1300 a cold wind started which shut them down. Got a couple 17"rs, a handfull of 15-16"rs, and a bunch of dinks.

Fun day until they shut down. No pix.
