Anyway, I didn't weight this one, but she was around 2 lbs

Those Century reels have been around for a long and last forever. I still have a couple from when I was a kid and they still work,over 45 years old. Gear ratio is really low so it looks like the slow speed is just what those slabs are wanting. Really nice fish !!!

Yea, I like slow swimin Ronnie's spinners across the top of the rocks. That reel is perfect for it. It was my dad's reel. 40th Anniversary edition. It's not as smooth as my Abu Soron thats loaded with ball bearings, but it is a power house for a small reel. Thanks for the comments.

I'm not gonna be here this weekend Roger. I'm leaving after work to go fish on Granger with my uncle, and brother in law. We have a trip lined up with Tommy Tidwell.

FM, we are around the same age. I used them when I was a kid also. They were premo back in the day.

I'll tell ya another thing that's cool about it. Stamped right on the side is Made in the USA.... You don't see that much anymore either!
