A couple more smallie treats

Here are 2 more for my next outing. These are both 3/32oz heads the top jig is white with some blue speckes, I tied in some whire marabou for the tail and then palmered the blue and white two toned rabbit strip and tied it off at the head. The bottom jig is a candy purple head with 50 denier white fish hair tied in and then I tied in some metallic purple silicone stands and then 70 denier regal purple fish hair over the top finished off with a soft plastic stinger shad in smoke purple. You can't see the silicone stands in the pic but you can in the normal daylight, I wish my camera was a little better but it doesn't matter. I'm liking the fish hair, it is easy to work with but you need to tie it in long and then trim it so it has some kind of taper otherwise it looks like a paint brush. I will say though, in the water it looks just like natural bucktail but you do need a collar on the jig you are going to use or tie in a spot of chenille or something as it doesn't flair on its own but it isn't bad and a little seems to go a long way.

Nice jigs. With all the smallie jigs you've tied lately the toughest part is going to be choosing which one to use first. Are you palmering zonker strips on the top one? That's not easy to do,great job. I wish they had colors like that in a crosscut.

Thanks everyone, JJ1, Spirit River makes them in a crosscut, that is what I used on the rabbit jig with marabou tail, palmered crosscut zonker strips, they also make them in regular cut. I like them because they are two toned plus they have the UV2 tratment and I'm not sure if it works or not but I know it doesn't hurt as the jigs tied with the UV2 material have been doing really good this season.

I like the paint job on the top head and the way the white rabbit blends into the blue.
