3/4 oz. "Trinity"

Of fluke fishing that is.Getting pretty bored trying not to tie any more jigs.Then I was thinking,I wonder what a 3/4 oz. Ultra Minnow looks like with one of them Gamakatsu wide gap 5/0 hooks.Well here they are.Made 1 of each color to try out.Here they are from beginning to end.

Just poured and cleaned bare:

Painted with eyes glued on:

All done and ready to fish.

Nice jigs! What kind of rod do you use with the 3/4oz?

I use a MH Ugley Stik baitcasting rod with a Shimano Triton Extra High Speed conventional reel with 30 lb. Spyder Wire braid on it and 10 lb. Ande clear mono as a leader.

I'm glad that they are heavy hooks or my hands would look like a porcupine got to them got to them.

If they are the same hooks You used for my small minnow heads you sent me, they are very sharp.

No,they were 2/0 sickle hooks on them 3/8 oz.These are way bigger and about 5 times sharper.
