I will try my shot at a tutorial. I do not have a stand for video, so i took still pictures.

1. Mount jig in Vise and start a thread base.

2. Tie in your tail. I used neck hackle. I measure the length of the tail by cutting the tail the lenght of the 1st digit on my pointer finger

3. Tie in your choice of flash

4. Tie in the Chenille, and wrap towards the head

5. lock in the chenille with 5 to 6 wraps and Whip finish

6. Seal the jig neck thread wraps with Sally Hansen, or your choice of head cement.

Out here...
Turned out very nice CH... I think so far the most difficult step has been the whip finish. It took awhile to get that part down. When you Palmer does it go on top of the body or between the wraps?

Cool tutorial and awesome jig. I'm loving the colors.
Is your thread clear? I'd like some of that. Thinking it would eliminate that one thread that shows on chenille lock down.

Doc, I measure the tip of the hackle, stroke the fibers toward the tip, and cut

Thanks Noel!

Fatman, It's the equivalent to 8/0 thread, with the strength of 4/0

I think your tutorial is executed well enough for a novice to learn from . The jig is excellent .

Thanks TF, I was kind of in a rush and left out the more detailed steps, but kind of hard to do by yourself.
