The crappie bite is still good

    Fish are deep in SC

Fished for 3 hours today and come home with a good limit of 20 crappie and two very good slabs. One at 16-3/4'' @ 2lb 13oz and 16-1/4'' @ 2lb 4oz. 40' to 50' depth and had to have the bait within 4' of the bottom. Minnows was the only thing they would touch.

    Kayak Longline video report 9-12-13

Spent a little time in the yak yesterday pulling handtied jigs and curly tail jigs. The catch rate was about the same on both jig types. Warning, this type of fishing is addicting :) [video=youtube]

    A little airbrushing

Been a while since I have painted any cranks but needed to replace some that I have lost that are some of my favorite. Painted 6 using a custom paint mix, with the light hitting them from different angles they will be purple and/or blue. To many hobbies

Two color chenille jig - video

Was asked to make a video showing how to tie a jig that I tied for a swap. Tying with two colors of chenille can make a great looking jig and a jig that will catch you a lot of fish. Hope this will help in your tying.

The lake is still high maybe 4' of more above full pool. I still can't get over the difference from the last time I was on the lake 2 months ago when it was 16' low.
