    Hunted about 40 days of the 3.5 month season (goose/duck hunting bug got me). Group worked with kids this year and thinning does. Thinned over 10 out. Was a good year. Sun rising as the heater is on in the double bull.

    Reviewing the 1/8 pill with #1 hook, #2 and #4

    The debate is always out there......what size hook. For Illinois, I turned a little more last year towards a #1 for crappie and I like longer shank to have more options but they all have there applications. What does the group think on what is the most common hook size in your area...

    Micro Pearl Core Braid Tan New material on 1/16 football

    Looking at new materials.....tried this micro pearl material. Looks really nice for a gill getter. Have a gold paint on the 1/16 with a #8 sickle.

    Palmer Chenille from J Stockard(light blue)

    Forget to show this color. Jig is a taper 1/16 with #4 Mustad fine wire (to fine for me). I clear coat head then tap while warm green candy over top. I like this medium light blue chenille. Duck flank added for contrast and tail action.

    update on new turkey feathers. 1/16th on football head

    Been working on jigs and have the recently turkey feathers on my 1/16 custom football head and #8 hook. Looks good in the sun I hope it looks better from a gills lips in a couple months! Left one kinda uncut at the top area near head inspired by others on the site.

    1/8 oz Shad Darts with Mallard Flank

    Have a few shad darts left over from last year with glitter. Using mallard flank for the body. Next pour I will have the sickle hook look. The pink seemed better last year than the red.
