    Old/new jig hook

Picked these up from e bay. Main use is for rigging soft plastics weedless. Second picture are some that I poured yesterday. Smallest is 1/64 to the biggest that weigh 1/8. For a #4 it is longer than usual so they don't fit a lot of molds that normally could use a #4. Top of box was stamped...

    Babies

Bought my wife who loves birds a female zebra finch in September and after a month got her a little boy to keep her company. Moved them away from the big window in November so they wouldn't get a draft. Noticed in December they were starting to work on building a nest but it being close to...

    Cyclops Jig

This popped into my head a few days ago. These are 1/16 dart heads that I shaved the face almost flat and after painting added a single eye to the front with a drop of super glue. I used craft hair from Punisher Lures for the tying portion. Another float n fly.

    Tungsten powder

I have tungsten beads, discs and nails that I've been playing with to get jigs deeper faster and I've been checking into tungsten powder that I plan on mixing for jigs. It's expensive so before I buy several ounces I wanted to ask if anyone has experience working with and mixing it. If so, what...

    Dyed chenilles and Feathers

Last week I broke out the dyes and tried to dye some craft fur. FAILED!! It wouldn't hold the dye and rinsed out. Not wanting to waste the dye I broke out some white chenilles and marabou, this is some of what I dyed. I think I went overboard a little, almost ran out of white and need to...

    Small craw jigs

I got these nice little crawfish heads from CAT. Pretty realistic tails that weigh 1/16 on a #4 hook. Used rubber legs, hair, flash and hackle for the tail portion and CAT chenilles for the body. Putting these aside and plan on trying these at Lake Havasu next year on those monster red ear that...

    weedless jigs

Most of these are 1/16 on a #2 574 long shank jig hook. Probably fish them around brush. Good thing is the hook diameter is thin so I can probably straighten the hook and get it back if I use 6 lb. test. Used the wacky wires suggested by another member and like it even though I don't fish with...

    Need more of this hair

I picked this out of the material swap box awhile back and really like it and would like to get more. Can't find the thread from the original material swap but someone put it in before I got the box and I would like to make a trade for more if possible. Looks like it was cut from a coat or...

    1/24 buggers

This size have been great on windy days for trout this year. Texas toast chenille, marabou and floss tail with black hackle. Only thing I changed on these were the colors of floss and the eyes.

    JIG TRADE BAIT

I tied these up for big southern crappie in hopes of trading for some other goodies I want. These are 1/8 pillheads on hooks from a #1- 2/0 and some 3/16 on a 2/0. If he likes them then we'll get this trade done.

    Hair Jigs

I don't even know what hair this is but like it. 1/16 and 3/32 heads with long shank #1 and #2 jig hooks. For comparison the round head is a #2 Aberdeen with a 1/16 with the long shank in back ground.

    Poison Tail Jigs

This mold is designed to take a 30 degree jig hook but playing with hooks the other day and found out that 60's fit it. Gami 2014 3/0'S and Owner 2/0 so far, these are the Owner's. Wacky 785 #2's fit as well. Here are a few combinations that I've come up with so far. these are 1/4 oz. heads.

    Cyber Monday

I checked my e mails this morning and Jagged Tooth Tackle has 25% off everything which makes it a great deal with jig hooks. One of my favorite jig hooks are the Owner 5318 and this is the only place I've found them in a #6. Anyway, bought some #4 and #6's. They are pricier than most hooks but...

    Craft Hair Jigs

I used to tie them regularly years ago but by the time I finally tried them they were usually tangled up pretty bad. These are 1/16 on a #2 sickle hook, Matzuo.

    OLD SPINNERS

While going through the closet I came across a box with some old spinners, some names I haven't heard before. Kinda cool..

    GLUEING WEEDGUARDS

I've been working on some bass jigs using super glue to glue in weed guards and I'm not totally satisfied with the results. Any suggestions? What do you use? Here's a couple 1/4 oz poison tails I've been working with. Won't let me download pictures. Been like this for weeks now. Every time I try...

Why I dislike topwaters and crankbaits

I've always been a little paranoid about baits with treble hooks, especially one's with two or more. I've never been stuck with one until Tuesday while camping with my youngest daughter and oldest granddaughter. No pics the entire trip. River is super low now, lowest I've seen it. Fish weren't...

    Road runners and more spinners

Found a few wide gap mustads in the drawer and decided to pour them and tie up a few. Also did some bigger RR'S up to 3/16 on a 3/0 gami 604, bunny style. Wanted to use them in the river but got a bunch of rain in the last few days so while playing the waiting game been tying a few up.

    Catching a Few

Colder weather this year forced everything to spawn later than normal. Lake that I thought was dying due to invasive Asian Carp eating same chow as shad. Shad used to be everywhere in this lake and now rarely see one. Crappie have been thin and sickly so I quit fishing for them at this lake for...

Poison tail jigs plus football swing jig

I tied these Poison tails up this morning after getting some from chill. Main problem with them is I got paint inside the weedguard hole and guards wouldn't fit without modifications. Really like how the 1/8 white turned out after a bit of creativity. The single wire guards don't go with them...
