    Early Quantum Baitcaster

    My father gave me this baitcaster a little while back, and I haven't been able to pinpoint the specific model. I'm trying to figure out what kind of line it takes, or if it will even accept braid. The foot has "Zebco - Made in Korea," and I'm guessing the 5.1 is the gear ratio.

    Another take on why fish (possibly) strike lures in general (not accepted by most)

    Yeah, in addition to defensive actions, such as defending a nest or fry, territorialism and competition amongst fish might also be overlooked reason for strikes. Some of the strikes we miss may be nothing more than a warning shot.
