    Latex or silicone

    I have gotten into tying grub type jigs and flies. I have natural and "bug gut" colored latex, tried using a balloon for white. I bought some silicone skirt material. Anyone have any other ideas?

    my first colored jig

    The awesome red color is thanks to Russ( thanks again!) the legs are black hackle. Very new to tying liked the ook of the jig head.

    I am newbie I want to get into painting my jigs which is better paint for a new guy the powder paints or the vinyl paints? I would only be doing small batches for person use or for friends. Thanks in advance.

    Alternative Materials

    New to tying don't have a ton of cash to spend on supplies. I know that Sally H's Hard As nails is good head cement( learn that from fly tying guys), yarn can be made into dubbing. Had a question about CHENILLE, is the chenille used in tying the same a the yarn called chenille found in craft...

    Hello everyone, great website! I am new to tying and very happy to have a site like this to learn from. I got inspired to learn how to tie jigs after a friend of mine caught a nice rainbow trout I a jig I had tied. Here to learn more and be better at it.
