Got out with a buddy recently and the bite was on! And the best part was the only bait working for me was a silicon hair/bucktail jig with a small plastic trailer.

Bite was on from the get go and nothing under 16" in length

I still have some Kick'n Bass scent in craw that I soak either on the chenille or the pig.

On finding fish, I'm a smallie nut. Been studying the rivers and the bass movements for years. At this time of the year I was waiting on a warming trend for the fish to come out of their winter holes and picked the right day. Also, nothing beats dumb luck
