Found out on Tue here smallies bite in the Winter during warm windows that allow the ice cap to melt away in a local canal. They were mostly small around 12" but better n nuthin. Surprised also how well a tiny 1/16 #8 simple rabbit fur jig got bit and held.

I like watching a bobber as well. Matter of fact I use them regularly, helps me put distance between me and spooky fish.
