Well I finally got an answer back from Worth on gold size 0 and 1 propellers

Thank you for your email. The prices for the gold blades are:

Item 95840 $33.60 per thousand
Item 95841 $72.60 per thousand

We do not keep gold in stock so it could take up to 2 weeks or more to get these shipped. We have to wait till we have at least 10 pounds worth of product to be able to ship for gold plating, so it could take 2 weeks, it could take 2 months.

Also, if you do not have a Federal Excise Tax Form 637, then there is a 10% charge added to the product total.

For the above cost I'm thinking I'll stick with the nickle and just get some polished brass ones.

Polished brass works almost as good as gold but you will need to clear coat them or they tarnish . I use Christmas tree ornament hanging wires . Make a minnie clothes line or use a jig rack dip and hang .

Eventually I'll order some. Still cheap compared to the $2.95 for 24 that most places want. I think the price for the nickle props are 1/3 the price of the gold.I'm going to stick with just the smallest size.

Has anyone ever thought about painting them? Most tackle makers who make spinnerbaits have at some time painted spinner blades with a certain degree of success. I'm wondering if a chartreuse or orange propeller on a firetiger boolie would be even more tempting to fish, I wouldn't know but I bet it would look good.

You can powder paint blades but you'll have to have wire hangers to finish curing them. If you try one make sure to watch the heat!!! it doesn't take much.

On the golds I'll probably just get the polished brass in 1's and 0's, I like the #1 on 1/16th and the 1/24th oz heads but they're too big on a 1/32nd. I'll probably just heat em up and dip em in clear powder paint and cure them.

I've painted a few holographic black. Took them to California and used them on the last day and caught some gills with them.

Just got in 100 nickel blades from Barlow's. Got the P2 - 3/4= $6.86, works good on 1/8 and 1/4 but I should have ordered some P1 - 5/8= 6.05 and will on my next order for the smaller jigs. I plan on painting them.
