View attachment 7I was tinkering around doing some plastics for a gift. This came out of a cavity of solid color baits. No way I can reproduce it and I don't know for sure how it happened. Hope you can see the colors.

I tried everything I could think of but it ain't gonna work that way again. Guess I'll frame it. Any body got a suggestion . I tried slurping up 2 colors in the injector . Placing a bit of plastic in the mold. Tried the plastic swirl and slurp. (I hate sonic commercials when I'm typing ) This is gonna drive me nuts if I don't figure it out. I hate the question WHY!

I like the color as well. How long is the bait? Thinkin smallie or gill bait. I think it would be great on a football head.

Its 2'' But I can't reproduce that color. I can however put a color on each side. If you take a football head mold drill it in the center of the point then j b weld a flat head rivet in it will give you a recessed eye socket.

Cool! Yep you will have to use the cut and shoot technique.
I'm to darn lazy for that. Iknow one thing . you ain't gonna make money doing this unless your mold will shoot 100 or more at a time.

Hey TF .. was that shot with re run plastic or new ?

If it was new could have been a little wad in the injector that mixed in at just the right time.

If it was re run anything can happen.

I Like the looks of it but I don't know if it would be worth all the effort of cutin and shootin.

New but the container had had old plastic in it before. The only thing I can think is abit of old got slurped up. because black with fine and medium glitter is what I was shooting. Got the glitter from a reputable dealer so thats not it. I tested that. I do remember some hesitation in the injector. Thats probably where I got the snot ball at. Freakin cool though especially if you hold it in natural light.

I've been keeping track . Usually I pinch off the head and put a ball head jig with 3D eyes in its place . dosen't change the lure a bit . Makes them even more cool looking . I not only like his molds but he has my kind of taste in music too .

I had a lot of fun playing with that mold you could do so many different things with it though it's not my favorite plastic bait but it does have very good potential with a twister tail I have never tried the other one with the Beavertail I would imagine they are both very productive.

It's not too shabby. I found it to be pretty good in the spring but notice a decline in hits as the weather heated up . Sounds crazy but that is the way it went . Twister tails on anything work pretty much all year long until you throw it out and it just bounces on the ice .
