What did I get?

Buddy just dropped by.  He said he knew I tied stuff and gave me an usable hen (price marked 29.95), a ringneck pheasant tail, and what looks like bird wing and body that's been taxidermied - very colorful.  

Now what do I tie with it.  I have no clue on what to do with feathers unless I tie them as tails similar to a zonker strip on a jig.

I use marabou and hackle some but feathers such as these if I was going to play I'd look at YouTube videos

Thx Bucktail. That's smaller than anything I tie but may have to upsize the hook to a #6. My eyes aint what they use to be.

You can use those feathers as accent colors too. I see lots of big striper jigs that use a bunch of long hair then use feathers of contrasting colors. Also might be able to palmer wrap collars with the hen. I personally only use pheasant tail on very small jigs and flies.... usually to make small pointy tails or antenna or legs. Makes great little buggy jigs for bluegill.
