Inspired by the post from PapaPerch on Water Fleas and made a few from 4mm plastic craft beads to try ice fishing this next week.

Looks like a good bunch of fleas! Good luck and hope to hear a report, this is the earliest i have been able to get on the ice since i got back into ice fishing. Now, if i could only find the time to get on larger water than my pond - all will be good.

Got to try these fleas out last night and they work for sure! Caught 7 nice Blue gill and lots of small ones. Also caught 4 crappie on them.The gills would not leave them alone and I did not even tip the flea with any live bait. The ice was 5" thick. Forgot to take camera but I will provide pictures next trip out soon.Well off to tie some more fleas!!
