Well, thats certainly different. If you invented it, Fatman, field testing might prove you're a creative genius. Why is the wire frame canted forward rather than back like most spinnerbaits? Looks like the weight of the blades and harness will cause the "jig" to run with the line tie downwards?

If it runs true, most likely better hooking % with wire canted forward IMHO. Like the idea. Let us know how it runs and if it catches a few.

Thanks Hawn and eyecrosser - I know I'll have to tune it but I basically just got it tied up and added the blades have really thought on how to bend the wires yet.

:icon14::icon14: I am anxious to try out the twin spins I tied the other day. I like how you used the wires instead of just tying in the swivels.

Looks like a better, more usable sized spin-jig than the old time, GREAT Shannon Twin Spinner! The ole Shannon was extremely popular & productive among old-time bassers of the 1920s-1950s, and was ALWAYS given top marks by really proficient outdoor writers!

That is a nice looking jig. If you put the spinners on the bottom that will be a killer jig. As it is it will not run right and I also think it would tend to spin around in the water.

Used Hildebrandt Nugget spinners as long as i can remember on Erie for the walleye.... always preferred the naked models with no skirt and the biggest nightcrawler i could find in the box. Those do have the arms swept back more then your version. That one should get some attention!

Thanks all - I think if I can tune it right I should??? should be ok. Unless this really works good I don't see myself making many of them it's a PITA to wrap the wire tight to the shank of the hook. I have one more with the wire tied on I'll see if I can flip it and tie up the same pattern with the blades below.

The Hildy nugget was and is a great lure - I could have done the arms different if I had an oversized hook but we'll see how it runs.
Snagless Sally is an excellent lure have some of the newer ones from the 80's but haven't used them in a long time.

Hopefully this storm will by-pass us and let us have spring and getting out fishing.

Had to Google the Nugget - hey, there were a few of those jig head molds made by Do-it on eBay awhile back - wondered what the heck they were for. I passed, since the molds appeared to require a custom hook.
