super glow issues

hey guys i am using pro tec super glo white on top of a white base . when i charge the jig i can see little dark spots that aren't glowing . any ideas on what this is ? poor coverage of glo? i am new to the site and already have heard a lot of helpful stuff thanks

Most likely incomplete coverage, But,,, that might be a good thing. May be a more realistic look. Also, based on my own experiences with glow powders, your powder may not be uniformly mixed. I have gone so far as mounting my fluid cup to a pad sander to provide a vibratory action as well as the fluidizeing. Seem to help with glitters and glow additives

i have fluid beds but i didnt use them on the jigs in question .. do you guys always use a base under your glow ? Lehed says he dont

Most of the time I don't use a base coat on glow jigs but on some of my bass jig colors I DOUBLE DIP some colors. Example Chartreuse first color and while head is hot dip it into Copperhead and it turns into a nice green pumpkin or watermelon color. It's best to use transparent powder paint as the second color dipped. I'm another fluff and stuffer, no fluid bed for me.
