Most of these are headed to Alabama for a friend who sent me some feathers .... gonna go spend some time with the shovel in hand soon, then back at it. Working on 2 dozen bluegill jigs now! I will post a picture later. Black/peacock/gadwall flank buggy goodness.

Out here...
Nice jigs... And almost anything with peacock will catch fish. Best all around material next to earthworms I know of.

Got the driveway all scooped off, cleaned up, and finished these.... 2 dozen "bream killers" as my friend and I call them. Hung a foot and a half under a little bobber, we catch a LOT of bluegills with these!

1/32-oz head, black PP
gadwall flank tail with copper krystal flash
Bream Buster chenille from CA

I only wish I could tie as nice as that with the speed you do.What's the secret?
Awesome jigs.
The first batch is sweet on the colors, would work well here.

Lay out what materials you are going to need before you tie, so you aren't sorting through or looking for stuff. Tie at least six of everything to make it worthwhile. And buy and keep only the best quality material... That has helped me speed up a lot. If you have GOOD stuff all layed out and ready to roll, it makes tying good-looking jigs quick and easy. I am FAR from being an expert though..... most of you guys are way more experienced than I am!

Almost where I want to be at with my jig boxes... next will be 3 or 4 specific bluegill fly patterns that I will be using this spring. It annoys me to no end when I reach in a fly or jig box in the middle of filling up a stringer and find that I have run out of "the" color or pattern that I need!

Except a pink/black/blue..............but will be....

That is a combo that my buddy tied once and handed me a whuppin with the next trip.... I have had good luck with black/blue plastics before, so it makes sense. It is a "don't leave home without it" color in my 1/4-oz bucktail box now. White bass and wipers love it!
