Nice work, you don't see too many people making spinner flies nowadays. What weight flyrod do you use for those?

I use a 6 weight most of the time. The blades are size 1 I believe.

I love this spinner. Copper blade? My Grandfather was a machinist who turned copper blades for trout fishing years ago. The fly is a very nice tie too. I like it a lot. Is that a sproat hook?

Thanks fellas - Pup, the hook has a limerick bend. Its a vintage Mustad model - I don't remember the model number - Ill try and find it later this week...
Here's another called the "Nova" on the same model hook...

I can tell you those fly spinners are pan fish killing machines in ponds and small lakes . The big ole goggle eye perch will eat them like candy . You must have been studying the old time spinners from 1800 to about 1950 . The colors and tie off at the head are perfect . Welcome .
