This is a new 2 1/4" curly tail mold from jacobs. I have all the mold makers curly tail molds and i really think this bait will top them all! The starts up higher on the body than traditional molds. It has a lot more tail action at all speeds. Its going to be a killer longlining. Body on these is watermelon red. The purplish one is a changeable color called chameleon. It goes from purple to pink to brown.

Tryin another bass color for crappie. And if watermelon aint bassy nuttin is! I mixed a few drops of watermelon brown to darken it up a bit. Believe its goin to work'em. Finally cleaned my grimy phone for the last pic lol.

Nice Ronnie. May have to get my hands on some of those curly tails. I have been thinking about bass colors since one of your earlier posts. They eat the same food so why not the same baits. The Ky. state record, Penny Hopper's 4lb 14oz fish (21.5" x 18"), which was also determined to be a hybrid (just with more White Crappie side banding) was caught on a bass lure on Mothers Day while Bass fishing.

I just bought this mold myself. How are you doing the tails? Just cutting them off in one color and putting them back in the mold when you shoot the body?

Yeah just try to slowly open the mold and try to keep the tails on one of the halves. Makes it alot easier if u dont have to put the tails back in the cavity. I just hold down on the tails and pull off the body. Close and shoot body color.

Nice ! Use something similar here on Walleye 3" & 4" , call them Drag Queens the ridges on the back and tail trigger some agressive strikes if the Walleye are in the mood
