I did some bass jigs for the spring and for the first time I decided to try a full silicone and hair mix and these jigs are the result. The top jig is my finess football head jig, it is a 1/8oz jighead painted watermelon red flake. I took some red bucktail and tied it around the the jig and then added my new green pumpkin ripple skirt material over top of the bucktail. The idea here is to have the bucktail around a craw chunk trailer with the silicone moving slowly around the bucktail giving it a full look without a lot of weight and making for a slow fall. The bottom jig is a finess round head, it is 1/8oz painted green pumpkin and has an underbody of black bucktail tied in with my green pumpkin barbed wire rille silicone skirt material tied in over top with a few short strands extending from the head as a "crop top". This finess jig is intended to have a small craw trailer and the bucktail is going to serve to make the jig appear buggy, and also give it a bigger profile without adding much weight and also to help slow the fall of the jig. These are both weedless, I just have to epoxy the weedguards in place and add the trailers and they'll be ready to fish!
