Nice tie. Great color scheme. Is that a cold water color combo you tied? I am quite new on this site and already have learned a lot and seen some fantastic work. I am wondering, being new and all if I could ask/suggest that when we all post pics of our ties maybe talk about time of year, water clarity, etc... each of us has in mind when we tie certain patterns. Be kinda interesting to see/hear what works where under certain conditions. Thanks

I usually try anything and everything till I find what the fish want - In my local pond I go to early the water's cold and clear and as the summer comes in it starts getting murky till it rains and the water comes off the mountain and it gets clear again. Other than that I really don't worry about it.

Eyecrosser makes a good point....Sweet looking color combo but what else everyone throwing currently. In Illinois we are preparing for 4 to 6 inches of snow!

PB - We're getting snow here too!!! Was a real fun ride as we had freezing rain before it changed to snow and the highways were pretty bad.

Thanks Andy - It's a $1.50 a package at the Pendleton Woolen Mills store on ebay, was free shipping so that was nice too. Have to get some more need some green or olive

Talking like 18"-24" snow likely here in northern Kansas. Guess I may just have to stay in and tie some jigs:)

Thanks Happy

Eyecrosser - Make sure you keep it there!!!!!!!!!! LOL We already had a storm of 23 1/2" another of 15" and after those we had a 4 day warm-up with temps in the 50's and rain - it had wiped most of it out and flood warnings all over. Had 5" on the ground when I left for work this morning so I know I'll be using the snow blower to clear it all out.

How far away from Ft. Riley are you??? My son stayed out there after he got out of the Army, and now works on post as a Swimming Instructor/Pool Director.

That is a good color combo, nice work Doug. I'm like you in trying all different colors until I find what they want for the day. Right now I am catching crappie in hard stained water on light color jigs, not suppose to work that way as the dark colors should be working best.
