Red fox zonker jig

1/16th ballhead #2 Black Chrome hook with Lens mustard color mix, and I have a clear coat with purple and green glitter in it. Tail is a hand cut crosscut zonker strip of red fox.

Thanks guys!! I've got a couple of soft tanned pieces that I've been cutting zonkers from. Tried beaver one time but I'm going to have to comb out ALOT of the underfur.

for some really small jigs I'd like to find red, pine or black squirrel soft tanned and cut those into zonkers!!!

Doug, I know Feather Craft has tanned squirrel hides.... might try there.

Zac looked at Feather craft and the price for a half hide is $4.95, full $20, only has fox and gray though. Looking at it it sure don't look big enough to make cross-cut strips, but I emailed them to ask for a good pic.

Squirrels aren't big critters, buddy! Especially big around. The cross cuts aren't going to be very long!
