Day 1 of 3
Small fish but we did get close to our limit. One more and we would have had 10. Biggest was about 25 inches. and 2 flounders. Small, but the plus side is better eating size fish. Tomorrow we hope to be returning big fish and keeping only a few if any.

It kinda sucks to drive 800 miles to fish and find it is rainy and colder than back home but that's fishing for ya. It was a very windy day gust up around 25 mph.

Brr windy day today 25mph with gust up to 40.  Didn't put the damper on catching fish.  When you have float n fly fished in 16 degree you can fish in any conditions.  We limited out (5 each) by 11 am.  Caught a few Drums and a 1/2 doz small cats.  In all counting those returned the 2 of us caught about 25 fish today.

Tomorrow is the last day.  Sport fishing tomorrow, as in catch and release all day.  Probably hit the road home tomorrow around noon.  12 hours home a day off Monday and probably red fish for dinner Monday night.  Any good recipes for the grill?

Those are purty fish, how do they fight?  Whatcha catchin' em on?

They hit hard and fight though not for very long.  A lot like catching a big bass.  We had hopped to toss some spoons but as windy as it is all we are doing is shrimp on a jig and cork.  It reminds me a lot of Float n Fly fishing but fishing shallow.

Out here...
Looks like your having a good trip even though its windy. Did ya have an off-shore run lined up? A couple cobia and a snapper or two would go good in the pot.... Maybe a tuna or two?

Nope, we are just fishing in the shallow grassy bays.  The open water is just to rough to get out in it.
