Painting head with weedguard?

How do you powder paint and cure say a football head jig if it already has the weed guard?  Won't the weed guard melt? 

I want to try and tie some weedless jigs but I paint my own heads.

I don't pour nylon weed guard jigs, but I read some wrap the guard in alum foil

I know from the guys at Tackle Underground they use a heat resistant tubing when curing.

Thank you!! I don't know very much about jigs with weed guards. I don't use them.

A lot of the guys are now using a teflon pin when they first pour them - then they powder paint, pull the pins and cure. When they're done they glue the weedguards in.

Teflon tubing is resistant to melting, it's what I use. Also use the teflon pins and glue the guards in afterwards. That's the best way.

Do most football head jigs have the hole for the weed guard in them? I don't pour I buy unpainted heads. Thanks for the info everyone.
