The other day I had to do some buck tail striper streamers to help a guy learn how. Tails come in different degrees of softness. For streamers you want the ones that flare the most . The soft ones. I remembered an old trick I used to sort my tails. Take a pair of eye lash curlers pull out a clump of hair about the 1/4 dia. slide the curler on and squeeze . If the hair flares like you are spreading your fingers its a streamer tail. If not save it for something that won't need as much flare. Just a little trivia.
