Got out right before a storm front moved in. Fishing a new jig with a silicone skirt tied directly to the hook with a craw trailer that was soaked in Gulp Juice. This is a 5 acre city park lake a mile from my house, concrete all around the lake. It's a larger version of the Beverly Hillbillies cement pond. I caught this one on my second cast and added one around 3lbs three casts later. Only two bites I got in 1 1/2 hours. This one is fat and should weigh close to 5lbs. Rod's handle in background is 14 inches long so I figure it was about 20 inches long. Unfortunately I lost the jig about a half hour later to a rock pile at the noth end of the lake so I have no pics of the bait right now,I'll tie a few more up for sure. The bass was released less than a minute after the picture was taken,a quick pic and back in the water. I consider the bass in the lake as pets and have been fishing the lake over 40 years.

Pretty much Hawn. There were people fishing on the dock 20 feet away and more just down the bank fishing for catfish. I had to squeeze in there. I had touble keeping them away, they wanted to help land her. I asked politely to "PLEASE STAY AWAY". I've lost fish in the past with people grabbing the line. Only a few people fish for bass at the lake.Lot's of forage for them. Crawfish, shad, people's pet goldfish, little gills and crappie. I've lost several big fish on 1/0-2/0 hooks in the last month so I tied something up with a 4/0. It worked great.
