New Taper Head with Hydro Goo

Working on the taper head makes the design style with goo easier. Less mono under to get the taper head.

PB nothing wrong with them they will fish. I used to do the same thing with mine until I bought a dart shad head mold. I like that the dart shad head for jigs like you have tied. My suggestion is to use the tapered heads to the minnow patterns and the dart shads to the fancy short body jigs. Rate of fall will be faster and they will have more action which you want in this type of body. I like them and especially like the silicon skirt material that you did. But for the most part think that you would do better with a different type of head with that body type.
