I got up with some new (pun intended) friends to day for some fishing. Lower New is finally clearing and green, but still a touch high and a cold 38º. Anyway, I had a partner lined up, he bailed, 2nd partner called last night and had to work today. I guess they don't like taking my picture or something. I was throwing a jig in seams that SHOULD be holding smallies and got this turd instead. 37.25 on my new rod. Excuse the pic, but it's hard to be photographer AND subject. Notice debris in the tree behind me.

Since this was caught on a jig, I thought I'd share.

Beautiful fish! What type of jig were you throwing?

Sounds like fun and can see you had some high water. Always amazes me when i am out wading and can see junk stuck several feet above my head in the trees.

The fish of 10,000 cast and you did it while fishing smallies. Nice catch wish that we would have them down here. That is sport to say the least. Bet it was more fun than chunking rocks at a sign.
