Here are 2 more "Bearded Dragons" as I liked to call this pattern. These were done with the brown tipped natural bucktail and I think it really makes this a better jig, The top one is a 3/32oz walleye head painted black, it has the sculpin brown UV2 rabbit strip surrounded by a little black craft fur for the tail. The body is black copper chenille and the brown tipped bucktail finishes it off. The bottom jig is a 1/16oz walleye head painted copperhead, it has sculpin brown UV2 rabbit strip surrponded by gold nugget fish hair for the tail. The body is done with black copper chenille and finished off with the natural bucktail.

Thanks hookup, I'm confident these will work as good as the other ones with the zonker strip on top with the chenille body. I used to tie that with just a zonker strip and some chenille around the collar and that worked well do so I decided to add more hoping it would work but afraid it would be too much but it wasn't. My friend's fishing partner called me after their trip and wanted a dozen of each and I made up several of this style to have my friend try out for me as I am done fishing for the season as I can't take the cold anymore.

Nice !! I tie mine with the hide side down and fish like them but seeing your hide up ties has me thinking about trying some that way. Maybe a few samples anyway.
