Got out with SRHBRO951 and Noel for a couple of hours yesterday. We ended up keeping 37 fish between 3 people (our limit is 25 per person). We released about the same. We ended up with 31 BG and 6 RE between 9" and 10".

Can see how those brutes are built with ample tail & fins and a thick compact slab body to power them. The heads stop growing but the muscles keep on.

Tipping with?

Cold & wet in SoCal?

of - The handsom guy is me, the big guy is SRHBRO951 - Noel had camera duty for the pic. It seems like Noel was getting more of the REs. If we had crawlers we would have slayed on the REs.

Hj – They fight like Tuna, planning, and the twirl the end. And like the Tuna, alas, they are delicious.

These gill are pretty aggressive right now, hitting the plain jig, or with crickets. Mealworms will work - didn't have any.

Weather is nice, mid 70s, overcast. Next week is going to be sunny, 80s, clear skies. Think we will be getting some real good fishing now. Water temperature is in the mid 60s – BGs have started spawning. Some of the big males we caught had worn fins and they were squirting all over the place.

ch – thnx, it’s a great feeling when your tyes can catch chunky fish.

I've gotta figure out a way to get out there.... SWEET pictures!
They are working on spawning here as well. The females I caught tonight were all jammed full of eggs.
