Just posted this on CDC. Sick of Skip. I'm done. Hope they ban me.
Skip.....your a piece of work. If it was a vise you were selling your posts would overpower everone else. I guess it's time for you to ban me. You've gotten rid of all the great tyers that used to come to this board. You need to lighten up. And yes....I have tyed 40 years to your 10. Does that make me better???? I don't own $200 capes and don't even tye flies. I've got jigs I tyed in 1970 that still catch fish....DO YOU???

I believe you have framed the picture perfectly. I do thank Skippy for one thing though. His shortsightedness caused the " good guys " to create Jigcraft. His favorite fish must be the bullhead catfish as they have so much in common.

I commend you for standing up to that guy. He seems like a worm to me. It is funny he says he is not worried about selling those vises he has pmed me twice trying to sell me one. since my danvise didn't arrive in one piece.

Johnt-ms - Hearing that from you makes THE 4TH PERSON i have heard of him hounding about buying a vise from him.... but it is only a hobby for him. ha - yeah, yeah.

Hunter - You just may have a leg up on him seeing as you PM'd the owner before that all took place. Not sure how much he can back peddle out of this one. Did you also notice that his mention of selling Peak seems to have disappeared from his signature???

Hunter - don't give up on CDC because of one person. The problem isn't the site - it's a great site - good people and very informative.

The real "shame" is CDC should be more observant with skippy’s idea of moderating. I think the site lost a lot of creditability because they backed skippy and felt it necessary to read PMs....

Looks like the verdict is in . The jury finds skippy guilty. Personally I find every bit as much information here as there. I always have done p.m. s on that site just to avoid the junk that goes on . now most of my email comes straight to me via, Gmail. If you really think about it someone here is always posting a pic of very artfully done jigs . I'm talking real art not just mundane lures . I love the old stuff reborn and the general tying but often here somebody does a lure that makes you say holy cow. CDC lacks that now . Hope the ones that leave have the same sharing spirit we have and come here.

Oh yeah, I do have a Peak tho....and no, not bought from Skippy.. Please don't hold this against me...

The only thing that has kept me from doing the same thing as hunter, is the fact that I like my state section. I personally know some of the guys, and enjoy the talk amongst people that fish the same areas as me. Actually, we have a guy in the illinois section that reminds me of "you know who". Only difference is, he is not a mod. and has no authority. For quite a while people have just had fun with him, and made a joke out of it, but I think he is finally getting on people's nerves. He is always accusing people of posting the same fish pictures over and over, and claiming they are different catches. He whines about people following him and conspiracy theories, just to find his secret spots. He thinks every person fishing on "his" lake, that is city property, is keeping 5gallon buckets full of 5" crappie, and that they are using their cell phones to triangulate their buddies to his exact location. Sorry to get off topic, but it is an example of a person that is way out there in their views, the same as a certain other person, but the big factor is, he doesn't have supreme authority and backing. I think the main problem is, power has been distributed irresponsibly, and a dictator has risen to power, causing people to flee! As of lately, I go to CDC to use the state forum, come here for tying, and go to a new site I found for general fishing talk. The other site is reel fishing chat .com, I hope I don't offend someone by putting that site in my post. If so, I apologize, and will remove it. But, it is just general fishing talk, with nothing about tying or lure making.

I tend to just blowoff/ignore the comments some people make on cdc.... I peruse this site, as well as CDC to learn. Thanks for allowing me to be part of jigcraft.com and improve my tying......
