Our kayak club went to a lake this weekend that I had not fished before but I now have another lake to add to my fishing lakes. Montecello is made by pumping water from a big river and is used by a nuclear plant. There was 8 of us that went down Friday to try and catch some small bream or perch to use for bait Saturday. We camped and was up at 5am getting things ready for some other members. We thought we would have 12 to 15 members come but ended up having 23 kayaks on the water cat fishing. All had a great time catching the catfish. At 1:00 we came in and cleaned the fish and got the cooker ready for the frying. I had the third biggest fish at 22'' and there was a 25'' and 28'' caught. No real big fish were caught but in a kayak all fish are fun to catch. I thought I had some good video to show but my SD card somehow got the format messed up? Anyway we had a great time. A few pics for the weekend.

Been wanting to wire up some small LED strips in mine, have been out after dark a few times on small waters and would be nice to have fixed lights instead of just my headlamp. I have wondered if a small black light on the outside near where my rod holders are would be nice to go along with fluorescent line. Not sure how that would work though.

I have seen some amazing yaks on other forums all rigged up with interior LED light strips running almost the entire length of the yak............. they look like they are glowing! You have to show off what you end up doing.

Way to thin the herd! You need to come over to Brookville, IN and pull a couple hundred out (I know a bunch of guys that will even give you free nightcrawlers for that activity)!! I would love to go out and not catch a dozen or more catfish. I have a buddy that likes catfish and begged me to bring him a mess or did until I dropped off a 3 man limit of 30 in the 3-5 pound range.

Got the nightstalking lights rigged.

Green on the outside as they work best for me at night but also have a mixed light for the nights they like white lights. Two green inside lights and two whites wired with their own switch. I built a bigger battery box for night fishing so I don't have any problems with power.
