...those crappie fish are in trouble now... Just kidden, but I gotta tell ya, ole wtex knocked it outta the park with this one. The pichers don't do it justice. It has a lotta sparkle in the sun, but my camera wouldn't catch it so I did the best I could.... Anyway, it's built on a St Croix blank 7 footer, alps triangular reel seat, Fuji stainless steel SIC guides, acid wrapped....

OK here we go handle 29"long...

Nice thread work.

Kinda gave me flash backs when I was looking at the pix.

That is a very nice-looking rod.

It looks, to me, like it might be a good drift rod for salmon too.

Naw actually she didn't LOL, shes part Native American... She does colors! And thanks for the comments I appreciate them and I know wtex does too. And Pup I think it would be great Salmon drifter. At 2 lbs 3 ozs its not that bad a caster either. I chunced a 2 oz jig with it yesterday. Not bad at all.

Thanks for the comment, and yea, he can build a 9'er... no problem. And before you ask, what you want will determine the price, but I can say this it will beat your expectations. I stopped by a big box store in San Antonio on the way home, just to compare... And the best China made junk they had at around 3 bills wouldn't come close to the quality of this rod. You could bend the guides on their best with your finger no problem. Any way thanks again for the comment.

Thanks for the kind words on the rod. And thanks to Melvin for letting me build it. He did his research and pretty much knew what he wanted. All I had to do was add thread. Melvin sorry you did not hook up with a fish that would put it to the test. But there is always a next time.
