That is the first two color thread tie I've seen. Stacking the two threads matches the taper of the head.

Thanks Hawn - Basically on the pink thread all I did was start it like I was going to tie made a few wraps, did a half hitch then put a 6 turn whip finish on it. May try it on some other ties.
