Ron, this one came outta the lake down stream from the old "nearly dry" lake. But the deepest part of this lake two years ago was 3 to 4 ft. in the creek where I caught her. The main part of the lake went dry. I posted some pichers of it back then. We had a good rain in the fall of 2012 that brought it back to 75%. I think there are still some big sacs left in the old lake, I'm going to keep tryin anyway.Oh yea, that sow had eatin a 4" long shad, so a 1/4 oz jig head ain't outta the question!!

Yes sir, Lost Pole has it right, vertical jiggin, but you can flip and pitch it. I prefer a bait caster for this type fishing, less to get in the way....
