Gummies Step 2

Today tried using the aspirin head with the gummy body. Looked ok but not totally sold on. So I tried the old tube jig head. I kinda liked these. Another thing this stuff is even tough to cut. The clear body material. Going to have to get scissors that cut the body material a little better.

All the ones in pix are with the tube head. Experimented a little more today on tails and such. Going to have to get some more of the color sheets. I only ordered the silver and mother of pearl at first.

Want to try these before buying anymore material.

AF - you mentioned the emerald shiner sneaking into the pattern. I like your dad am a big believer in the power of the emerald.

FM- Cost for a one pack of clear material is @ 3.95. The color sheet runs about 2.95.

Perch is sweet....how much time are you investing per each one? Simple process or pains?

Simple process but each thing you add complicates it and adds more time. The gummy minnow flies sold on the net sell for like 5.95 each. I can see why as it is time consuming. I could tie a jig in about 1/4 of the time I guess.

Although it is time consuming it is enjoyable. I just wish I could test them before I get too carried away with them. If one of our Jigcraft artists take an interest in these. I can only imagine how lifelike they are going to look.

Found this YouTube on tying the gummy fly, wondered if you could just tie it upside down for a jig.
