How does the hackle tail move underwater? I received some grizzly and brown dry fly hackle in that box of materials I was given. I haven't done anything with it because it's meant for a hook around size 16 and I don't tie anything nearly that small. It might be worthwhile to use it as tail material. Have you fished jigs with this type of tail much?

Shoe - the tail isn't that much different than using the strung saddle hackle like I did on the kactus ties. They move good - as fly tyers use the long dry fly saddle, or neck hackle to float flies that's what I did with these. I've tyed them this way before and it does help them fall slower and the tips do move like little legs.

Thanks SJ
