wish i knew how you worked with the duck feathers so well jungle jim. some of the jigs i pulled the feathers off the stem/quill and some i cut off the tip. how do you make yours so pretty?

Are you tying on non-collar jigs??? on some they're really flat others have a big top then angled down. It's really practice and more practice and a big X2 with Attica, feather prep and lots of practice - some of the smaller ones the stems are soft enough that you can leave them in and tie in as is, it's those thick stemmed ones you gotta watch.

Just keep practicing buddy!!!!!!!!! I get in a stretch where all of them look great, and then I get a bad streak going. Hang in there.

Smallish bunches evenly distributed around the hook. Don't try and do it in 2 bunches.... try 4 or 5. That has helped the looks and durability of mine. Seems like they always wanted to spin around the hook ehen I first started..... very frustrating. Use the same technique on thread neck bucktails!
