My son said it was a might chilly out there!!!!!!!!!! He's just outside of Ft. Reilly.
I am ready too! Got today off and going to try and put some of this fancy braid line on 2 of my ice reels.
But..... not sure what the ice condition will be like by 1st of the year. Haven't been around to any local lakes yet, my little pond had about 2" of ice and then we got the snow storm. It put a thick layer of bubbly slush on top the ice and the drifts around the edge are pure slush - no ice. Cold temps look like they are sticking around for now though.
Stay off the drifts!!!!

Might wait until next weekend.... let it thicken up just a bit more! I think we will go to a marina and fish some slips.
I will be getting out on New Years day and at least take the spud bar to a few local lakes to check how thick. Not too confident it will be ready to drill yet. The heavy snow really put a kabosh on a lot of the small farm ponds - they are 3 inches of slush on top of 2 inches of ice - not good.
