I am pretty new with the flasher - it took me a week of toying with my new flasher to figure out what i was looking at. For those who have never used one, here is what i have learned.... not to speak for papaperch though he has a few more hours of time running one. From the red line counter clockwise is the water column. The yellow marks on the right side between 10' & 7.5' are stronger marks.... FISH! The green marks are weaker returns wich could be larger fish at the edge of the transducer beam's range or other objects. They will even show a tiny 1/100 jig as it floats down!

HECK yeah! I got myself a Marcum LX-3 for Christmas and watching that thing sure does beat watchin TV on a saturday. It's pretty cool to watch a fish come up on the flasher and then watch the spring bobber start going nuts!
