Hey Fatman, why are lots of your ties so puffy nowadays? Think they'll work better?

Is the pink fur(?) naturally shorter than the black? Is there a purple highlight in the pink or just a photo quirk?

I'm generally not into candy A.S.S. (Association of Shoreline Stalkers) colors but this combo looks disturbingly attractive.

Hawn - still getting used to the cross-cut strips and may have used to much, but if I don't use as much as I did the hair looks really short tied on the jig. The strips are from Grandpa Bobs and are fl. pink but the ends are dyed black. Don't know if they'll work better or not!! Hopefully spring is coming!!!

Thanks Goodtimes and SJ

Looks nice. I need to tie and try some wrapped like those. On a single piece of rabbit it gets very thin when wet but seems to work, maybe one wrapped like that will hold its shape a little more.

Trout will take them too. I've caught quite a few on purple/pink jigs.

Rabbit tied like this does a great job of covering the hook shank under the water, even when it's half bare.

Thanks Shoe - I've caught trout on pink and black jigs before but a crazy steelhead on lightwire hooks would worry me. I'd have to get the steelhead ball head mold and then tie em on those to feel comfortable. I'd hate to leave a nice fish with a hook in his face because of not using the right hook.
