I rarely endorse a product...but this is an exception..!!...If you are going to have a custom rod built, I know, you want to protect your investment...and that is why I recommend a Rod Sox !!..And...even if your favorite rod is not custom built, you still want to protect it..!!...Check This Out !!....:icon14:...

Fits a spin cast like a glove. Had some bass pro shop style and one other.....both are not as good as above!

Those are very nice, and cheap compared to the investment into a custom rod.

I bought some scrap felt & had the wife sew up socks for me.

In my saltwater/traveling days we used socks all the time - had too! Best way to protect the rods - especially packed in a tube.
Mine, like hu's were home made.
Never tried the ones posted by LRB...

I checked and they are reasonably priced plus the got a nice hangy hole thing for storage

They not only protect but keep you rods from tangling up. About 5 years ago I bought enough for all the rods I carry. You can slid them in and out of the rod box in the boat with ease. Mine have a lot of miles on them and they are still good.
